Random: I'm So Free.. But Not For Long

It’s official - school’s out! Somehow, the thought makes me happy, a feeling that will last only for a week or so. I’m sorry I haven’t been replying to all your comments. I’ve been really busy with finals – exams, projects, deadlines to meet and whatever. Well, exam hasn’t been much of a problem; I only have 2 out of 8 subjects left to take on exam day. I was exempted on three of them and the rest we took in advance which I am very thankful about because if that wasn’t the case, I don’t know what I would have done just to finish everything else. Anyway, it's over now so.. partyyy!!!

.. and cut! Yeah, that pretty much sums up how short-lived my free time is. I have summer classes to look forward to. No choice, it’s required. Three major subjects. Three hours for each of them daily. Same old, same old. So yeah, I have to make the most out of what I can in two weeks, maybe lesser.. And by that I meant:

I have A LOT of catching up to do (that includes sleeping). Alone time with my books is a perfect getaway I can ever hope for even if it is for a short time. Not that I ever stopped reading, I make it a point to read at least one chapter a day but lately it's been tougher than usual trying to pry myself away from books because of other responsibilities I have to attend. Speaking of responsibilities, I have this project where I have to ask my friends and relatives their perception about me and here's a tidbit of what my sister wrote:

"..she doesn’t appear to have the ability to pry a good book off from her hands until late morning, instead of studying like a normal girl. She’s a good writer, loves music, and sings a crapella—this often causes tension and dispute in the house, sometimes post traumatic disorder."

And here I thought we were friends! Whatever sis, just remember that when you ask me to buy books for you again. LOL! Well, my plans this summer: blog, read, school, read, a little shopping, a little partying and more reading!! That's all there is except of course, if something exciting comes up along the way - I'm always on the go. Sounds good, right? Happy weekend! ;)

Album: Vice Verses

I've been listening to this album for very long time now but it still feels like I'm hearing it for the first time. I loved all of the songs in it - the beat, the lyrics.. I can't get over it. If it is entirely up to me, I'd feature all 12 songs now, but I'm afraid I haven't got much time. The reason why I particularly chose Thrive over the others is because it reminds me of Warm Bodies by Isaac Marion. One of the things we - my sister and I - loved in the movie is its soundtrack so when we heard this song she asked me if it's included in the OST and I told her I'm not sure. True enough, it's not in the movie but I have to admit it's perfect so I decided to make this my theme song for the book.

Hurray! I'm back from my book shopping hiatus. There are a lot of new releases I've been eyeing and dying to own and read. But I have to start being practical and stop this madness over books (which is what makes my life exciting, by the way) because my TBR pile is growing and growing. Buy 10 books, read one - yeeaah, so not good.

Anyway, I can't seem to totally stop hoarding books - never! - but I've limit myself to at least 5 or less in a month. haha! So.. what's new on my shelf?

Cover Reveal: The Liberator (Dante Walker #2) by Victoria Scott

The first time I heard about this series last year, I thought I would die of anticipation. I'm serious. Read the summary. Killer, huh? I can't wait to read the first book which will come out less than a month from now. April seems longer than a month away. Ha, imagine what I felt last year. Anyway, before I reveal the cover of The Liberator (how's that for the title?!), I have to make sure you really watch out for the this:

February Reads + Monthly Recap

February has been my busiest month yet. So many things I had to do! First week was dedicated to midterm exams and you know how it gets. You'd think that I would be free for at least a few days after, but no. There was the preparation for our club's activity which took a lot of time for meetings and calls and weekend tasks. One time I got home at around 10PM, I was so tired I've gone straight to my room and was unconscious as soon as I hit my bed. I didn't even bother eating dinner. I woke up the next day at 7:45AM - 35 minutes left before my first class - still in my previous day's clothes (lifting a finger seems like a very difficult job then). And the fact that well, it's endterm which means projects, projects, projects. I remember saying to make the most out of 28 days reading and being productive. In a way, I was. I made 19 blog posts this Feb despite my busy sched! That's definitely an improvement for me (supposedly, there was still more I have to post but I ran out of time). I got through with exams sane, and then were able to produce a very successful event. Unfortunately, I wasn't that lucky to have read a lot of books. I only read 6 - I'm satisfied, considering. But I wish I could have read more. Anyway, that is my bookish goal this March! To read as many books as I can, I missed reading so badly!

This month I read:

I watched Warm Bodies with my sister and I was planning to post a "From Page to Film" for it but something came up so I have to move it to a different date. Maybe this March. And that's that. I really had a great time last month, no matter how tiring it was and how frustrating it got sometimes :)

And by fun, I meant:

No one is even looking at the camera. Actually, there's a lot of cameras flashing at once, so we really don't know where to look but I'm looking down! Goodness, I absolutely have no idea what I found so fascinating on the floor.
