__________

I left Lunar Manor broken, seeking comfort in the hands of Laurel “the Dragon” Hardy, the editor-in-chief of the Daily Gossip. Okay, I may have used him to ease the pain He-Who-Shall-Not-Be-Named caused by his confession of loving someone else. On New Year’s Eve! Granted, he was drunk off his ass, but still! I stay with Larry mainly because the dreams are getting worse. Worse enough to wake me in the middle of the night needing the touch of another to save me from losing my mind.

Unfortunately, the handsome bassist of the uber successful indie rock band, Vicious, is never far from my mind. I thought I was rid of him once and for all only to have him show up at my hotel in London. Luka Visraya’s power over me is intense. No matter how far I run, I always end up circling back to him.

If you think my story is just some romance about two lovers getting back together, think again. Little did I know that returning to Luka meant I’d be plunging myself into a world more familiar than I ever thought possible. Trust me when I say I didn’t believe it either when the truth finally came out.

BOOKSHELF STAT

By that I meant my physical bookshelf. According to my trusty list, I now have 222 books. Okay, time to fess up. I have way more than 222 books. Encyclopedia sets, text books (lots and lots of them), books I had since I was a child, mass market paperbacks, e-books, etc.. Yes, I love collecting books. Even my textbooks I wouldn’t give away. I would let people borrow them as long as they return it and frown when I see creases on it. But, oh well.

BOOK DEPOSITORY ORDERS

Hello everyone! I can't help but notice that there are plenty of readers who are interested in buying books online especially those that are here in the Philippines so I am going to make an offer.

I'm sure most of you are familiar with the Book Depository. It is, as far as I know, the only online book store that ships for free internationally including the Philippines. To those of you here in the Philippines who wants to buy books from them but doesn't have an applicable method of payment or just doesn't know how to, I am willing to do that for you. No additional fees. Book prices will be the same as what is posted on their site (converted to PHP).

Just to make a few things clear:

Orders will be directly shipped to your address (if you prefer) so you don't have to pay additional fee for local shipping.

There are some packages that requires a fee in order to claim them in the post office. This rarely happens in a Book Depository package but if it does, I am not responsible. Please take note that books are tax-free and VAT-exempt. There shouldn't be any additional charges (except for the occasional storage or handling fee) when you get your books as long as it is for personal and not commercial use. Read more about this HERE.

Book Depository orders usually takes a month or two to arrive here. Sometimes less than a month, sometimes more. Regardless, I am not responsible for the shipping and lost or damaged packages. But I will help you report it to the site when that happens.

If you are younger that 18, please make sure people in your household knows you are expecting a package. No reason to make them suspicious of stuff suddenly coming in your mail from someone they don't know.

Lastly, this is not a scam. Just want to put that out there :) I am genuinely willing to help you.

If you have any other concerns, questions or you are willing to try this out, feel free to leave a comment here or send me a message on Facebook to discuss it further. I don't bite!

P.S. I receive a tiny commission for every book purchased in TBD if you my affiliate link which I put everywhere here on my blog but it does not change the price of items you buy so don't you worry.

2014 Highlights

So even if last year was an exhausting and stressful one I still had great moments to treasure forever.

AUTHOR SIGNING:

For the first time, I went to a book signing event right at the beginning of 2014! And two more throughout the year. I got to meet four of my most favorite authors so obviously I had a superb time.

December 2014 Reads + Monthly Recap + 2014 Wrap-up

I realized I have some unfinished business. And then I realized some more that I needn't have bothered. Last month I was only able to read.. *drum roll* 6 books!! And two of those I already started months before. I think this is my fewest monthly read ever since I was three? Kidding. Not really :( The thought makes me sad.

Books I read this December 2014:

2015 Witches & Witchcraft Reading Challenge

I didn't do so good with last year's reading challenges. I guess I did okay with the reading but the linking up and the updates.. ehhh. Anyway, I'm going to try and do better this year so I am once again joining the Witches and Witchcraft Reading Challenge (I love witches!) hosted my Melissa's Eclectic Bookshelf.

Visit this LINK to sign up and check out the challenge rules.

I am going for the Maiden Level. The goal is to read 6 - 10 witchy books and hopefully will be able to level up soon.

Me and My Bookshelf (27): BookOutlet Edition

This is where I feature the books I received, bought, gifted or won that are newly added in my physical shelf, which means no e-books and the like, and recount epic book hauling stories. It is usually posted on Saturdays.

This is still a part of my November 2014 book haul because yes, no more buying books for me this year unless I read more than half of my physical TBR pile. It's not like a lot of the books I buy go unread anyway. No, my sister have read most of those that are still in my TBR but this is a matter of me having 110 books in my shelf waiting for me to pick them up.

I bought 16 books from BookOutlet for my last book haul of 2014 and probably the better part of 2015. It's my birthday and New Year's gift to myself. Let's get started.
