1,135,789. That’s how many subscribers sixteen-year-old West Ryder has on his web vlog series. But he only has eyes for one of them.

As one of the internet’s most prestigious video bloggers, West talks about high school relationships under the name “Sam Green.” As far as he knows, no one from school, not even his best friend, Cat, has seen his videos. But the highlight of the whole thing is Harper Knight, who comments every day at exactly 2:02 in the afternoon. He doesn’t know anything about her aside from the occasional deep philosophical messaging on why pizza tastes so delicious, but as stupid as it sounds, he might be falling for her. So when they finally agree to meet in real life, West’s hope for romance seems more and more in reach. But that all changes as soon as he arrives at their meeting spot and sees Cat walking toward him, wearing the same “I <3 Sam Green” T-shirt Harper promised she'd have on.

To his alarm, West realizes he is falling in love with the best friend who has always been a sister to him.

by Emily Murdoch

There are some things you can’t leave behind…

A broken-down camper hidden deep in a national forest is the only home fifteen year-old Carey can remember. The trees keep guard over her threadbare existence, with the one bright spot being Carey’s younger sister, Jenessa, who depends on Carey for her very survival. All they have is each other, as their mentally ill mother comes and goes with greater frequency. Until that one fateful day their mother disappears for good, and two strangers arrive. Suddenly, the girls are taken from the woods and thrust into a bright and perplexing new world of high school, clothes and boys.

Now, Carey must face the truth of why her mother abducted her ten years ago, while haunted by a past that won’t let her go… a dark past that hides many a secret, including the reason Jenessa hasn’t spoken a word in over a year. Carey knows she must keep her sister close, and her secrets even closer, or risk watching her new life come crashing down.

Review: Losing It by Cora Carmack

Losing It (Losing It #1)
by Cora Carmack
Published: October 5, 2012

Virginity.

Bliss Edwards is about to graduate from college and still has hers. Sick of being the only virgin among her friends, she decides the best way to deal with the problem is to lose it as quickly and simply as possible-- a one-night stand. But her plan turns out to be anything but simple when she freaks out and leaves a gorgeous guy alone and naked in her bed with an excuse that no one with half-a-brain would ever believe. And as if that weren't embarrassing enough, when she arrives for her first class of her last college semester, she recognizes her new theatre professor. She'd left him naked in her bed about 8 hours earlier.

Me and My Bookshelf (11)

This is where I feature the books I received, bought, gifted or won that are newly added in my physical shelf, which means no e-books and the like. It is usually posted on Saturdays.

Howdy! Seriously, this is currently my most favorite greeting. LOL. Anyway, it has been - what? - more than a month since I last posted this meme? Busy much? Well, yes, but there's also the fact that I'm just lazy. Today was supposed to be a review day but since I'm lazy and I did not make any reviews so Me and My Bookshelf it is.

Hi guys! You all should know how much I - we - love Clockwork Princess. [read review HERE]
In one of our favorite parts in the book I asked my sister what song reminds her of it. She told me it was Blinding Light by Switchfoot which is also what I had in mind so we both agreed that this is going to be the one.

"Blinding Light"

You know what is our most favorite scene in Clockwork Princess? JEM's BRIDAL GIFT TO TESSA!!! It was.. ohmygosh. No words or gestures can explain it.

Cover Reveal: Champion by Marie Lu

OH.MY.GOD. I know. Seriously guys, I AM FREAKING OUT! I am a really big fan of Marie Lu. My sister, too. She recently finished Legend and she can't stop gushing about it. When I logged in to my blogger account a while ago, I saw a new comment on my Prodigy review asking when the next book will come out and I remembered how agonized I was when I finished Prodigy and learned that the third book will probably be published next year. But of course, things change. So I decided to check it out again on Goodreads and guess what I saw. IT HAS A FREAKING COVER! And the expected publication date: NOVEMBER 5, 2013. 2013! 2013!!! Uh. Excuse me while I faint. This definitely made my day. It made my DAY. Get it? I'm rambling. So, back to the point. As I was saying, I freaked out when I saw the cover thinking 'When was this revealed?', 'Is this the official cover?'.. and thought about asking the author herself but when I got to her Twitter page, I saw the link to the official reveal at EW and when was this? That's right. MAY 2, 2013 10:01 AM ET. Which means it was just less than a day ago if you base it in my time-zone. Huh. How awesome it that? So I thought I'd share it with you!

April Reads + Monthly Recap

We're already starting the fifth month of 2013! Oh, how time flies so fast especially if you're scrambling to get as much as you can and get things done. My first week of April was dedicated to a lot of reading (5 books and 4 novellas!) but then summer classes started and I was caught up with a lot of school and extracurricular works that I wasn't able to pick another read for more than a week. No matter, by the end of the month I was able to re-read Soul Screamers 1-5, finished Before I Wake then finally said my goodbyes to the whole series that ended with With All My Soul. And to break all that paranormal high, I had 3 quick contemporary reads. To sum it all up, this month is a win!

Here are the books I read this April: (Book cover links to Goodreads)
