I love it when I hear an unfamiliar song randomly, say when I am walking and I hear it playing in the neighborhood's radio or in the mall, in a movie soundtrack, etc. and immediately like it. All I can think is I have to know what song that is, no matter how last year it may be. Even if it is softly playing in the background of a movie; I notice it and that's why I never fail to check a movie's soundtrack afterwards. For me, it's every bit as important as the movie itself.

This song is one of the soundtrack from the movie Stardust. I really love this song. It's perfect for the the movie. You rarely hear this type of music these days and lately I've been listening to a lot of songs I used to listen long time ago. It's nice to hear them again after thousands of more modern and up-beat ones that "rule the world" now. It's very stirring and comforting.

Wipe Your Eyes

Wipe Your Eyes is one of my favorites in Maroon 5's latest album, Overexposed. One of my most played album recently, even my mom hums it. I loved most of the tracks actually, but Wipe Your Eyes reminds me a lot of Onyx by Jennifer L. Armentrout (read my review here). I think it's playing in the background while I was reading Onyx and the song suddenly registered and then I was all giddy saying how a perfect coincidence it was hearing the song when I was in the most fitting part of the book!

Random: October - MassKara Festival

Happy October everyone! Wow, less that 3 months left before the year ends. But I still have a lot to look forward to this October. For one, this means it's my finals next week! One more week of tests, projects, late night dates with my notes to study and then I'm free... hopefully. I'm really looking forward to spending more time with my books and my blog.

Also, October is our city's MassKara Festival.

MassKara is coined from two words: Mass, which means “many, or multitude,” and Kara, a Spanish word for “face,” thus MassKara is “a mass or multitude of smiling faces.” It is a celebration and expression of thanks for the abundance of blessings life brings.
