Review: Demon Princess by Kassandra Lynn

Demon Princess

With her father gone and her brother missing, Demon Princess Adriana has to assume the throne, temporarily becoming the Demon King. The procession is underway, and the princess is nervous yet determined … until the unthinkable happens and she is summoned! Somehow, Aldric, a mage-in-training has summoned the princess into the human kingdom. Now trapped, Adriana must hide her identity and escape before she loses her life in the hands of her mortal enemies.

I picked up Demon Princess without really knowing anything about it. I was looking for a short read on my Kindle to take a break from the busy day I had and it caught my attention. I started it, and I forgot to stop.

The story is about Demon Princess Adriana who was summoned by a mage-in-training seconds away from receiving her crown. Supposedly, it's not possible for a mage to summon a demon but it happened and Adriana just has to bear it until she can find a way to escape. But demons and humans do not go along and technically, she's in enemy territory so she has to hide her identity in order to survive.

Demon Princess was a really enjoyable read. I just couldn't make myself turn away from the pages. Too bad it was so short. While it lacks on plenty of details, it has a lot of potential to be more. I liked Adriana and the other characters, especially the love interest. I also liked the concept and the adventure which, by the way, would be super badass had this book been longer. As soon as I finished it I was craving for the sequel.

I really recommend this book especially to those looking for something short and fun. And you might as well just get the second book. You don't want to be left hanging, I assure you.
