Charlie is a wallflower, a socially awkward freshman that expresses himself in the form of anonymously written letters where he tells his personal feelings, how he found true friends and learned that life has to go on.
I really loved Stephen Chbosky's simple and honest writing style. It is a character itself that allows us to glimpse in the world of what it's like to be Charlie where fitting in is hard and lets us feel what he is going through. And as the story goes on, I met characters that I learned to love, each of them bearing a story of their own that is essential for the realizations and development Charlie has made, and how much he appreciated and value everyone around him. His friends who welcomed him and his family that understands and will always be beside him. It gave me a different view in life and let me see through an entirely different perspective. It is a book that a teen can definitely relate to in general.
The Perks of Being a Wallflower is a moving story of family, friends, love and trust that will lead us to finding the real meaning of our own lives.

I didn't know this was being made into a movie! Looks like a great cast too. I've never read this book but it sounds really good. Great review. :)
